IG of Police denies arrest order on Hon. Aminu Tambuwal...



The following is an announcement from the police...

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Suleiman Abba CFR, NPOM, NPM, mni, has denied issuing any capture request on any specific individual included in the assault on Policemen, or the aggravation of open peace, at the premises of the National Assembly, Abuja on Thursday, 20 November, 2014. Rather, it lies with the exploring Police Officers to figure out who to welcome, test and arraign as the case may be.


In an alternate vein, the Inspector-General of Police has denounced in extremely solid terms the unjustifiable assault on Police Officers giving security at a political rally in Oke Ado zone of Ibadan, Oyo State, amid which one Police Inspector was shot dead and 5 others managed unfortunate wounds.

While requesting a careful examination concerning the shooting episode and the orderly demise of an administration work force, the Inspector-General of Police repeated his cautioning to political on-screen characters to stop from the utilization of hooligans in seeking after their plan. The IGP reaffirmed the purpose and determination of the Nigeria Police to give a sheltered and secure passage for all political contenders, focusing on that wrongdoers of the Electoral Act will confront the full rage of the law.
